Welcome to How To Give Up Weed blog

Welcome to this new and exciting experience.

I have long been interested in the subject of self improvement and I’m really stoked about the idea of this site.

The idea of taking action oneself rather than being at the mercy of life’s events and experiences really appeals to me.

I spent long periods of my life in a negative place and things are different now. But I don’t want to offer any life-changing “guru” advice.

I am always conscious of two things:

  • the first is that no matter how bad things are they can and will always get better
  • the second is, no matter the validity of the first, people will find it very hard to grasp

In other words, when things are not going your way it is almost impossible to see a way out.

This is why I’m setting up this blog. I do not and will not judge anyone. But, if anyone wants help, it is out there. And looking for it is the first, and sometimes the only, step to take.

It is important to replace one habit with another – walk, anyone?

There doesn’t seem to be a great deal of information out there about how to quit cannabis. But then there has been a lot of information about giving up smoking and much of it is of questionable use.

How to give up weed

I still see a great deal of advice about picking a “Quit Date” out there and I always found that unhelpful when giving up cigarettes and I have no reason to believe than it is useful when giving up weed.

Everybody’s different, of course, so if you think it will help with you then go for it. Otherwise, don’t beat yourself up if you miss your rearranged date for quitting.

What is of fundamental importance is the psychological aspect. You will need to change your life to a certain extent. There will be a change of mindset.

This is something that will happen to you and you alone. It won’t be as a result of a doctor or of a partner that advises or nags you to quit. Your decision to quit will be yours alone and the ownership is very important.

You decided to come to this site. You decided that your life needs changing and, congratulations, it already has!

Just the actions of doing something to improve yourself will benefit you psychologically and will benefit greatly those around you.

So I hope you’ll join me as we try to uncover some of the tips, help and experiences people have gathered while giving up weed.

Please be sure to offer your opinions in the comments and contact sections.

  2. I couldn’t agree more with Mr. Comment and believe he is 100% right about both our comments needing to be deleted or edited at some point! In the meantime,
Thank you for launching this project and for the tips and support for someone who has decided the “cons” of weed outweigh the “pros.” Not sure you mentioned this anywhere, but weed is illegal in many parts of the world, some with serious penalties.

    • Thank you, Astrogremlin, for pointing out that I haven’t deleted that comment yet and now I’ll have to keep it as you’ve mentioned it!

Still early days for this site but there does seem to be huge interest out there from people who wish to give up. Yes, I do mention that it is against the law and that is a good point. We’re here to help people who think their use of marijuana is damaging themselves and their families. Thanks for the comment.

  3. Hi there all, here every person is sharing these kinds of experience, thus it’s fastidious to read this website, and I used
to pay a quick visit this website all the time.
